Welcome!
Aurore Maureaud, PhD
SUMMARY
I am a marine ecologist passionate about marine species and our relationship with the oceans. I believe we need to combine our understanding of life in marine ecosystems with cooperation to manage and conserve oceans fairly. In my work, I am designing and coordinating international and interdisciplinary projects to find new ways to approach and assess socio-ecosystems. BACKGROUND
I studied fisheries management and I completed my PhD at the Centre for Ocean Life, DTU Aqua, at the Technical University of Denmark. I have been a postdoc at the Center for Biodiversity & Global Change at Yale University and in the Global Change Research Group at Rutgers University. Since 2023, I am a scientific consultant/freelance postdoc working from France. I am a member of the Knowledge Coordination Body (KCB) of Eklipse, a European science-policy platform on biodiversity and ecosystem services where I am coordinating the link between requests from policy-makers and expert-driven biodiversity knowledge synthesis. |
