SUMMARY
I am a marine ecologist passionate about marine species and our relationship with the oceans. I believe we need to combine our understanding of life in marine ecosystems with cooperation to manage and conserve oceans fairly. In my work, I am designing and coordinating international and interdisciplinary projects to find new ways to approach and assess socio-ecosystems. BACKGROUND
I studied fisheries management and I completed my PhD at the Centre for Ocean Life, DTU Aqua, at the Technical University of Denmark. I have been a postdoc in the Center for Biodiversity & Global Change at Yale University and in the Global Change Research Group at Rutgers University. In 2023-2024, I worked as a scientific consultant/freelance postdoc from France before leaving academia. I joined the French Biodiversity Office (OFB) in 2025 to assess the efficacy of marine protected area conservation plans and provide advice on limiting environmental impacts of offshore wind farms. Since 2023, I am a volunteer member of the Knowledge Coordination Body (KCB) of Eklipse, where I am coordinating the link between European requests from policy-makers and expert-driven biodiversity knowledge synthesis. |
